Do not miss this little gem for a brilliant evening Wowsers! We had 2 fantastic evenings here over the new year. The atmosphere, food, cocktails and wine all superb. The team are so welcoming .. say hello to Maria who is so friendly and looks after you so well The must haves Korean chicken Halloumi fries Pulled pork fries Ribs Rum or amaretto sours Viognier ..great value bottle We had a party on 30th December with all the team and other customers, an impromptu boogie too!! Then we went back late on new year's eve..another boogie!! Impressive. I’ve visited this place for many years and drank many a pint and gawped at the landscape. The new owners look to be continuing the job of good food and beer, we’ve just had an amazing curry with a beautiful homemade naan bread. Staff are friendly and service is very quick. Cocktails in the Fells! Who'd a thought there'd be a cocktail bar in the fells! Well on a wet and windy night, just before Christmas, we popped over for a look. Very welcoming and serving real cocktails, not just a big glass full of ice. I can recommend the Smugglers Punch, just the right amount of acidity and sweetness. Lovely. We decided that although we'd just has dinner at the pub, we couldn't resist a cheeky plate of chicken wings! Perfect. Lovely crisp coating. Would have loved to come for breakfast but sadly not open before 12, I think the Stickle Barn is open for breakfast, but not that close to Christmas. Shame. So to sum up, fantastic cocktails and tapas, warm welcome. Certainly not cheap so do make sure you've looked at the menu before you go. £25 for 2 cocktails. £13 for the wings. Quirky addition but LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!!! What a way to convert a building. Formally a local church. This little restaurant/cocktail bar is a gorgeous addition to the Langdale area and in perfect reach if staying at the Langdale estate. Quirky Lunch with Great Service A lovely sharing menu with small dishes which were well cooked and flavoursome. The service was great. The location beautiful despite being a rather wet day. Great food and drink After a great day walking, called in at the Lanty Slees for a quick beer before heading home. We was made very welcome and we all had a cold beer in cool glasses. We ended up staying for more then one beer and ended eating there, and had some amazing food all cooked by the head chef Tommy. If your in the area it’s worth dropping in. A little gem in the wilderness Me, my father and brother called in for a pint after a long walk. The hospitality was soo good we stayed for quite a few more. Theo was the best host you could imagine! Fun, chatty, and letting us try his array of locally sourced produce. Superb afternoon! We will 100% be back! The honey-marmalade rum was to die for!
